With a clear focus on safety for a mixed farming operation we carried out an audit that encompassed all stakeholders; visitors, workers, contractors and partner/aligned staff.
The genesis of this engagement was the growing scale of the farming operations and the increase in stakeholders entering the properties for both farming and other business related activities.
The starting point of the engagement was to identify and understand the roles and activities of all actors (visitors, contractors, staff, residents and family).
As a result of the review we developed a Farmsafe Plan which encompassed the following recommendations and deliverables:
- Introduction of the Farmsafe Online Safety Induction
- Creation of a Visitor/Access Waiver
- Development of a In-Person Induction Kit and Briefing
- Onsite Safety Recommendations
- Introduction of Safety Signage
- Installation of CCTV
